Happy Birthday to Me!

I didn't think I'd see 40. Seeing 40 from a Harley in Scotland is beyond compare.

I've gotten some good wishes from the other chickies here and decided that I would love some more. OK, lots more. Please post heartfelt birthday wishes below. Be sure to include the part about how inspiring I am.

And it case it isn't coming across in my desparate 15-minute typing increments, please know how much you have all inspired me. I couldn't have made this trip without you all.

LOVE!

Happy, happy happy (37more happys)to you. What an incredible way to celebrate. Is it sick of me to be a little jealous of your Scotland experience?

Forget all the stuff you HAVE to do. Fight cancer and all that. Whatevs.

I'm impressed by all the stuff you CHOOSE to be. An awesome mom. A kickass wife. Completely crazy. A fabulous shopper. Genius smart. Amazingly perceptive. Fun as hell. So incredibly caring about the people in her life. And of course, daring and brave and ALIVE enough to go on a wild adventure like this!

I try to be more like you every day, lady. I'm so glad I get to be your friend. It's a completely humbling gift.

Thank you thank you thank you for it every single day but especially this day, which I hope is AMAZING.

So much love to you and

Happy 40th Birthday, T!!!!

I knew you were daring, but haggis?!

You are AWESOME (and I totally mean it).

Everytime I read your blog I end up with the stupidest smile for much of the day (or until someone annoys me - in other words for 90-seconds).

When I get annoyed, I'll think of you on a Harley singing Bah Bah Black Sheep and destroying US-Scottish relations.

Peace out,
Olga

Happy 40th Birthday to Tracy! You go, zooming down those UK roads, with the hand signals. In your honor, a friend of ours volunteered to get a motorcycle tatoo. Now that its your birthday, she really has to do it. :)

T-
Jamie is wrong, you don't make 40 look good, you make it look GRRRRR-Eat!!!

I'm so proud of you and so proud to call you my friend. You are an inspiration and remind me that I should be thankful for what I have, live fully, love deeply and laugh often...and to have a good glass of wine every once in a while.

Cheers! Here's to the next 40!

Love ya!

Kim

PS- Sending wishes from mom too!

Happy (belated) birthday! I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome and inspiring you are, in all of your many roles (especially mom). I've blown off a lot of work the last couple of days, reading the blogs and tracking your progress across the UK. Absolutely bursting with pride - I am so privileged to know you!

Hi, Honey! Happy LATE Birthday!!
Just caught up with your FANTASTIC MAGICAL ADVENTURE! You and HARRY POTTER are my absolute loves!! Thought you might like to see what I sent out to some friends and family members of mine the first day of your trip! Love, Cindy

HERE GOES:
Tracy might not want me to share her thoughts but I have to. . . . you see, Tracy has been a patient of mine for the past 7 years and she came to us after Memorial Sloan Kettering told her that they basically had NOTHING left for her Stage IV breast cancer. .. . that is what her FStage IV title actually stands for. . . Fuck Stage IV Breast Cancer.

We just sent her on her way to ride a motorcycle across England and Scotland raising funds for Breast Cancer when she has practically NO platelets. . . . in laymen terms that simply means that if she falls or should begin to bleed she is not going to stop until she is dead. . . . . SHE IS IN ABSOLUTE AWARENESS OF THAT FACT. But, she had to do this and I UNDERSTAND and sent her away with tears in both of our eyes, a huge hug and a great big kiss and a personal check from me I then had to document in her chart that Tracy had been fully apprised of the risks she was taking and was flying to England "Against Medical Advice." God, how I hate "legalese!" She was flying away with ALL of my prayers tucked into her pockets and LOVE for this courageous and hopeful young woman! The IVIG medication she mentions she is going to be away from is keeping her platelet count at a very low level but at least it is keeping it in a very low normal range. . . .she has been getting it 3 times weekly and will now be away from it for TWO WEEKS!

When her body began to destroy her own platelets she actually dropped to am amazing number of "3." Most medical professionals will NEVER see a platelet count of "3." I did not admit her to hospital because she is a busy working Mom but I rushed her in for transfusion and warned her NOT to climb back on her little motorcycle which she has been riding a lot practicing for this breast cancer rally in England. A few more blood tests CONFIRMED that for some reason her body has turned against her and is now actually destroying her own platelets! WHY!!!!!

Anyway, just thought I would share a little bit of Tracy's story with you! She is one of MY heroes!!

Love,
Me

Happy 40th Tray!!

I knew you'd see 40, I knew you'd LOVE the trip, and I'm looking forward to wishing you "Happy Birthday" for countless years to come. (That and teasing you for looking more like Mom with every passing year.)

Just got back from the surf and sand with your little man. Lord did those kids tucker me out!!

We were thinking of you and sending you wishes.

I caught your video on Utube. You truly are an inspiration, but still a bit dance challenged.

Love you, always!
Liza
